My First Medal

Yesterday was the last day of gymnastics...the kids performed their skills and abilities...

Sissy earned her first metal and it was seriously one of the cutest, sweetest things I've ever seen.

She had the greatest coach who was so gentle...amazingly patient...and ever so delicate with each new skill

I don't know how or why we get sooo Blessed but boy are we ever so thankful...

And just as Sis was getting her medal...out of no where...Papa showed up to watch his kids earn their first metals!! Tears flooded my eyes and I can not even express the joy I felt seeing him there!!

Next up was Peanut's class...now you can see a bit of what Sis does too...it's hard for me to take pics and be as hands on as I need to in her class...

Walking the beam...

Balancing on the beam...

Flipping on the bars...

Now this next shot is my favorite..that smile plastered across his face is this mom's reason for being motivated to take my kids to places like this...

He is so proud and how I wish I could get a pic of Sis when she feels the same way!

He too earned a very special medal...one just for boys!

He too had the same amazing coach Sis had...

Papa and I are both very proud of them...they committed, followed through and gave it their best even on the days they didn't want to go. Peanut, Sissy we love you and are so thankful for your passion, courage and ability to listen to your teachers/coaches!! Way to goooooo!!

The Box

This is the box that came in the mail...

The one that brought so much roaring laughter...

The one that brought amazing teamwork...

But then when there's that much laughter and problem solving between a 4 and 2 year old...

It breaks my heart when one ends up in tears...

Luckily in this event it was Brother to the Rescue...

Oh the box that came in the mail

Dr. Peanut, DDS

Peanut got one of the coolest and most perfect gifts for a kid who wants to be just like his daddy...

He got his very own Doctor Drill 'N Fill play-doh kit...and he LOVES it

We made teeth, braces and the kit even came with a drill...

I'm not sure if it's funny to drill holes in teeth but boy did he think it was hysterical and there's nothing better than hearing the roaring laughter of your child especially at 4!

Ahhh...there we go, nice and clean! Thank you, thank you Nina Bobbi (just something I've always called her)

" just spinning a tooth on my drill..."

Happy Birthday Peanut!

I am so proud to be the mother of this incredible 4 year old...

He has made our lives so much richer, deeper and just so much more fun!

We invited our Texas friends over to the "Danger Zone"

Complete with a Camo Cake, games, airplanes on a stick and peanut butter cookies...

It was a great birthday...he loved having his friends running around, playing and eating cookie after cookie

Peanut also had the Blessing of celebrating at school...

We made cupcakes for his friends...he came home from school and said his day was "awesome!"

On his actual birthday...we tried to continue the celebration but he was confused as to why we were still talking about it...

Then Uncle Peter came by with one more present...

And boy did that reignite the birthday candle...Happy Birthday Peanut!
We are extremely proud of the boy you are becoming...you are such a sweet soul with an eager heart and mind. I love your spirit and your ability to remind us you are 4. There is so much about to love and be proud of...thank you for all your love, patience and understanding...even at 4!
